Possible to travel from Port Gordon to Spey Bay via the Speyside Way and return via the shore line, tide and level of the Tynet Burn permitting.

Terrain:

Shore line path, some pavement, old railway line, woodland path with a bark or sandy surface.

All abilities?

Yes, from Buckpool to Port Gordon. West of Port Gordon there may be an awkward cattle crossing where two 'Rambler Stiles', essential for stock control, may be encountered. Beyond here the railway ballast may also be found to be uncomfortable.

Multi-use?

Yes, but see above for potential difficulties. The section of the route from Lower Auchenwreath to Spey Bay (through the wood) cannot sustain horse or cycle traffic.

Port Gordon (all facilities), Lower Auchenwreath (no facilities, access only)
